Cookies

In some instances, our website and its pages use cookies. These serve to make our website more user friendly, efficient, and secure. They are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser. Most of the cookies we use are so-called ‘session cookies.’ They are automatically deleted after your visit. Others remain stored on your device until you delete them. These enable us to recognise your browser the next time you visit. You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow them in individual cases, accept cookies for specific cases or generally exclude them and activate the automatic deletion when closing the browser. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.

Server-Log-Files

The hosting services on which this page is based are provided by Raidboxes GmbH (Hafenstrasse 32, 48153 Münster, Germany). Raidboxes GmbH offers software as a service (SaaS) as part of a cloud hosting solution.

Raidboxes GmbH automatically collects and stores server log files with information that your browser transmits to us. These are:

  • browser type
  • operating system
  • Referrer URL (previously visited page)
  • Hostname (IP Address)

Raidboxes GmbH cannot assign this data to specific persons. This data is not merged with other data sources. The data is deleted after a statistical evaluation after 7 days at the latest. Further information can be found in the data protection regulations of Raidboxes GmbH. These can be viewed here.

We have also concluded a contract for commissioned data processing. This contract regulates the scope, type and purpose of Raidboxes GmbH’s access to data. The access options are limited to those that are necessary to provide the hosting services.

JavaScript libraries

This website uses JavaScript libraries that are downloaded by the browser as a separate file to display some elements and for certain interactive functions. These JavaScript libraries are very widespread and used by many websites on the internet. Therefore, we have not stored these libraries on our server, but use identical files from a content delivery network (CDN). This makes the pages of smart-rechner load faster, because most websites that use the same JavaScript libraries also use the same CDN. Your browser does not have to reload the corresponding JavaScript libraries if you have previously visited websites that have already loaded the same library and cached it in your browser. This is a particular advantage when accessing websites with mobile devices. However, the integration of JavaScript libraries via a CDN means that when you access the website, data is also retrieved from a CDN operator’s server, which means that this server and its operator will at least be aware of your IP address. Without your IP address, the server would not be able to send the respective JavaScript library to your browser, which is why the IP address is required to retrieve the JavaScript file. In addition, the CDN server and its operator usually also learn that you have accessed the JavaScript file via our website, as well as some technical information about your browser, since almost every web browser automatically sends this data to the server each time it is accessed. Some browsers allow you to restrict or modify the data transmitted to the server, but whether this is possible depends on the browser manufacturer. Even if the CDN operator only needs the transmitted information, in particular the IP address, to deliver the requested content, it is beyond our knowledge and influence whether and to what extent the operator also statistically evaluates or stores this information.

SSL encryption

This site uses SSL encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as the demands you send to us as site operators. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from ‘http://’ to ‘https://’ and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

Right of access, erasure, blocking

You have the right to request information about your stored data, its origin, its recipients, and the purpose of its collection at no charge at any time. You also have the right to request that it be corrected, blocked, or deleted. You can contact us at any time using the address given in the legal notice if you have further questions about the issue of privacy and data protection.

Objection to advertising e-mails

The use of contact data published in accordance with the imprint obligation for sending unsolicited advertising and information materials is hereby prohibited. The site operators expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited advertising information being sent, for example by spam e-mails.
